The EcoPro is making a screeching noise. This is caused by the platen spinning under the disc. Chances are your platen will also look a bit like this .
If it does then you should clean it. Lift it out of the machine by pulling it vertical. Never clean the platen by dipping into water and do not use hot water. A toothbrush is best but any small brush will do....scrub off the polish, ink or dust and add a little water to wash it away. This allows the silicon pores to grip the disc while it is repairing. |
Polish Not flowingTo release the polish when it is stubborn it is important to follow the un-clogging procedure.
If you forward and reverse a only a few times over a short 10 min period it is materially different to doing it over a few hours. This is because the pump design compresses the internal pump hoses and causes flat spots. These flat spots need to be massaged out over the period of a few hours. Flat spots do not occur when the machine is being primed every 2-3 days before use. For example when video stores were using these 7 days a week we did not get any polish flow issues on a machine for years at a time because the polish was always being used. Here is a visual representation of what the pump looks like. http://ourworkshop.weebly.com/servicing-the-polish-pump.html To release the polish please follow the following routine. First instance. Make sure the polish hose is at the bottom of the polish bottle Reverse polish for 2 mins Sit for 20 mins Forward polish 2 mins Sit for 20 mins Still no polish then repeat above again. If that doesn’t work then complete the Tape Mod and repeat the above process again. The Tape mod is a last resort onsite fix and the instructions must be followed exactly. |
